Want to see the baby elephants dance?
Mama mia! Asian elephant mothers do a little dance with their newborns at the Hanover Zoo in Germany this week. Farina, left, gave birth to her 216 lb. baby boy, second from left, on May 11. Sayang, right, had her 234 lb. girl on May 7 after a 670-day pregnancy. / Photograph courtesy of EPA (You can watch Sayang give birth to her baby girl here.)
Look at that face!
Civic duty. An alpaca is sheared at a farm in Mount Joy, which is about 30 miles southeast of Harrisburg, Penn. Believe it or not, alpaca hair is being sent to the Gulf of Mexico to help soak up the oil spill. / Photograph courtesy of Associated Press
